Gilpin County Health and Human Services

RNN Architects Inc. provided complete interior design renovation services, for Public Health and for Human Services (HHS) with common use functions. Gilpin County pursued grant funding from DOLA and high-performance designs were implemented to achieve Green Globes (3 Globes). These sustainable strategies were implemented on the HHS renovation project by including concepts such as reducing consumption of resources (energy, water, and waste during construction and operation), ensuring efficient operations and maintenance through commissioning, maximizing indoor environmental quality, using healthy materials, and increasing mobility that reduces commuter travel in single-occupant vehicles.

RNN Architects Inc. and Gilpin County staff strategized to optimize collaborative spaces, labs and core staff spaces through thermal comfort, material selection, daylight, and direct line of site to the outdoors was key to creating more productive and healthy occupants.
